HOOD COUNTY – TIME TO REVISIT FLOCK CAMERAS
Hood County GOP Chair Greg Harrell just said what a lot of people have been thinking:
“ALPRs are a serious risk to your privacy and civil liberties.”
“These systems continuously record your movements without a warrant.”
“Once the data is out of your community, you have no control over how it’s used.”
Let’s be clear…
Hood County has already taken bold stands for freedom:
Second Amendment Sanctuary
Business Freedom During COVID
Sanctuary for the Unborn
Each one stood on a simple principle… protect the rights of the people.
So here’s the question:
Why are we allowing a system that tracks law-abiding citizens without probable cause?
This isn’t about being anti-law enforcement.
This is about being pro-Constitution.
We stand with our GOP Chair on this.
And we’re calling on Hood County Commissioners to:
Revisit the Flock camera program immediately
Hold a public discussion with full transparency
Re-evaluate whether this system aligns with our county’s values
You can’t claim to defend liberty…
and ignore mass surveillance at the same time.
Hood County has led before.
Now it’s time to lead again.
We. The. People.
