UNCOVERED: State Senate Candidate Jon Gimble Secretly Ushered An Unwanted Data Center Into A Quiet Rural Community

-By Philo-Publius

Just months before resigning as McLennan County District Clerk, Jon stepped far outside his statutory duties to help Infrakey Capital—an Indian-owned tech giant known for building behemoth data centers around the world. Why would someone who says they side with The People against Data Centers go out of their way to bring one into rural Texas?

Sunlight Is The Best Disinfectant.

Public records from the City of Lacy Lakeview revealed an unflattering group chat between Gimble, Mayor Charles Wilson, and Infrakey executive Sujeeth Draksharam. In his message, Gimble was “trying to help out with this Memorandum of Agreement” as the trio began the 520-acre hyperscale facility project—one that “We would review and pass in Executive session, to retain confidentiality,” according to the mayor. This is an all-too-common occurrence, when people like Jon Gimble and Sujeeth Draksharam handle most of the paperwork required to get a Data Center off the ground behind closed doors, before the public has any clue what’s coming.

I find this message thread very interesting because on the campaign trail, Jon Gimble claims to oppose these unwanted data centers. But thanks to a concerned citizen, the text messages he sent to the Indian Infratek executive and a local mayor give voters the truth, unredacted.

Lies By Omission & Blatant Hypocrisy

At last month’s Hood County Republican Club meeting, Gimble was feigning concern:

“A lot of rural community members in McLennan County are upset because they bought property in the countryside to enjoy peace and quiet, and here comes 600 acres of Data Farms.”

Inside a church, speaking in front of over 100 Hood County Republican activists, Jon Gimble acknowledged the fury of Lacy Lakeview residents—but deliberately concealed his own role in guiding the global tech giant through the annexation and MoA processes, operating far beyond the statutory duties for a District Clerk, until these damning text messages surfaced publicly.

Gimble went above and beyond to help a foreign executive ram this massive, unwanted project through. Leaving the city of roughly 7,000 residents to fend for themselves, in the dark. Until a few days ago, he was touring the district, misleading voters into believing he was on their side—never once confessing his betrayal until he got caught.

Will You Pick Sujeeth’s Guy, or Trump’s?

Gimble now has a well-documented history of LYING to us about bringing in data centers.

Fortunately, we have a genuine conservative option: Rep. David Cook is running for State Senate as his third term in the Texas House comes to an end.

David Cook has a history of WINNING for his constituents against an unwanted medical waste facility when he was Mayor of Mansfield, and he was part of an effort to stop the first concrete batch plant in Texas history. The batch plant project failed due to its air quality permit being denied by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. David Cook helped his constituents secure that victory.

Hood County and the rest of Senate District 22 have David Cook in our corner in the fight against Destructive Data Centers. David has committed to authoring and supporting legislation to empower communities with essential protections against these Big Tech projects. He also supports Hood County's pursuit of a Moratorium under Subchapter K in Chapter 231 of the Local Government Code.

In direct response to Hood County’s recent rejection of a proposed moratorium on data centers—after hours of emotional testimony from residents worried about water, power, and rural character—David Cook released a statement committing to file comprehensive legislation to address the rapid proliferation of data centers across Texas. He said: “I am disappointed by the Commissioner’s Court vote. I cannot ignore the voices of those who feel unheard as corporations pursue projects that could fundamentally alter the composition of Hood County.”

David Cook has the knowledge, experience, and relationships needed to serve as an effective State Senator, representing The Will of The People.

Cook’s Time In The Texas House

When the Texas House was preparing to elect a new Speaker, Cook won the Republican nomination—only to be betrayed by a dozen RINOs who sided with Democrats to install Speaker Dustin Burrows. In the 89th Legislative session he frequently voted with hardline conservatives like Mike Olcott, Wes Virdell, & Mitch Little.

In the most recent legislative session, David Cook supported 100% of the Republican Party of Texas legislative priorities, and has since been endorsed by Texans for Strong Borders, Texas Right to Life, Texans for Vaccine Choice, and Texas Gun Rights; He’s even recommended by True Texas Project.

Conservative leaders statewide recognize how far Cook has come since his first term in the Texas House,

President Trump Weighs In

And while other Republican House members received blanket re-election endorsements for passing school choice, President Trump reviewed Cook’s candidacy for Texas Senate and declared: “David Cook has my Complete and Total Endorsement—HE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN!”

Unlike Gimble’s backroom dealings and two-faced campaigning, Cook stands with residents against Destructive Data Centers. Texas Senate District 22 deserves better—David Cook has earned the trust and the endorsement to deliver.

David Cook is the clear choice for Texas Senate.
